I'm not saying it's right I'm saying it's how it is, at least here.

It's not how it is. Police are specifically trained to not do that.

The original case is depressing but I'm quite happy his ass is getting thrown in gaol.

There's nothing wrong with faith and prayer, but there comes a line where faith becomes lunacy, and unfortunately when that happens, people get hurt. I'm sure the guy believed in what he was doing and that it would save his daughter, but he clearly crossed that line, and while I want to feel sorry for him, I can't. He did wrong, and he's gonna get punished for it.

I don't think he should have got a sentence nearly as heavy as what he got and I'm the farthest thing from a fundamentalist Protestant.

But jokes aside, it's good to see that criminal negligance doesn't go ignored, even if it was rooted in religious faith.

I thought Things That Are Not Protestants are like: Roman Catholics, Greek Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, Copts. And all the other ones are Protestant? I dunno, Drake.

I can't handle my own religious subsets.

True story:

My brother was buying motorcycle parts from an American company. We got a number of calls from them, from the same woman. We always laughed about when "Jeeny from Wis-Caaan-Sin" would call.

if it evolves outside of the protestant context (i.e, mormons) they are not protestant

and no christian science is not protestant i just looked it up on wiki

also look it up on wiki the article is very biased for them, which is like the opposite of what i thought it would be

So what are Mennonites? What are Quakers? I know a lot more Quakers than I know Christian Scientists.

Yeah, we had this discussion before. There's only a handful of really Protestant sects. The rest don't really have a catagory. Or something like that. Although I'm not sure the general population is aware of the difference though. Unless you're a scholar of theology, I think a lot of people just view all Non-Catholic sects of Christianity as Protestant.

and the orthodox go hungry

anyway, quakers and menonites are protestants (both come from the anabaptists, who were an offshoot of either lutherans or anglicans cannot remember right now)

also if they are far enough away from protestant theology then it doesn't matter as they are not in the same theological tradition

Again, I know that because I know you and have you to tell me these little details. But I'm not sure how many others do.

Thread needs more dead or injured children

Quote:
GAZA (Reuters) - Israel's 22-day offensive in the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip killed 1,434 people, including 960 civilians, 239 police officers and 235 fighters, a Palestinian human rights group said Thursday.

[...]

The group said 288 children and 121 women were among civilians killed in the bombing and shelling.

"The Ministry of Health have also confirmed that a total of 5,303 Palestinians were injured in the assault, including 1,606 children and 828 women," it said.

Those poor children.

Didn't she already try to defend the thing? I'm too lazy to check.

Edit: Yep.
